THE RULES FOR ADULTS
RULE 1.
PLAY ONE FIRST! (BE MYSELF)
I must be selfish and honest. This is the only REAL ME. There is only one of me. I must remember to play all of my cards in life's game and play them in order: 1. SELF, 2. MATE, 3. CHILDREN, 4. WORK, 5. FRIENDS. If the cards are played out of order I am losing the game. If I am losing, those around me are also losing, and the world is losing. (NOTE: There are only three "Must Play" cards in the Game of Life: 1,4,5. The other two are "Choice Play" cards: 2 and 3.)
RULE 2.
STAND STILL IN SILENCE!
This enables me to see, feel and be my REAL SELF. If I am afraid, the fear is mine. If I am angry, the anger is mine. If I am guilty, the guilt is mine. If I am lying, the lies are all mine. Any and all of the MONSTERS (ROCKS) - all gifts of the past - FEAR, ANGER, GUILT AND FALSE PRIDE are all mine NOW! I must release myself from these burdens. I must choose not to see the world through these dark glasses.
RULE 3.
TRUE, NOT TRUE! MINE, NOT MINE!
All things are what they are and they are either TRUE OR NOT TRUE - MINE OR NOT MINE. Ownership is essential. Only when I concentrate my energies on my own reality can I come with my REAL SELF to the world.
RULE 4.
OWN IT NOW!
The new gesture of our times - a fist clenched and held towards us and pulled sharply down as we say, “Yes!” We see this so often at sporting events, those other games of our times. This is done when something right has been accomplished by either ourselves or someone else. I need to adopt this swift and definitive action. I must OWN IT NOW! Whatever "THE TRUTH" might be, I must DO IT NOW!
RULE 5.
ACT IN LOVE!
KNOWLEDGE, CARE, RESPONSIBILITY and RESPECT will be my key watchwords. I must develop an ACTIVE CONCERN FOR LIFE AND GROWTH in all of my waking moments. It is only when I love others that I know that I love the self. I cannot have one without the other. COMPASSION must be the fire that lights my way into the world.
RULE 6.
DEDICATE MYSELF TO GROWTH!
I must become (BE a person who COMES into the world) dedicated to putting on my personhood. This is the only way that I can be open and free. Those four colors of my hood can only maintain their brilliance if there is growth in my INTELLECT, my EMOTIONS, my BODY and my SPIRIT. I must remember, I WILL NEVER KNOW IT ALL, and it doesn't matter. I must, however, continue to fill my cup (chalice or goblet) and share it with my brothers, my sisters, and the world.
RULE 7.
FOLLOW ALL OF THE OTHER RULES!
In science when a proof is right (true) it is called ELEGANT because it is so simple, so refined and it fits into the GRAND DESIGN OF THINGS. This is my quest. This is my star. A HOLY ENDEAVOR IS ABOUT TO BEGIN - THE REAL ME!
